Lafiya Nigeria’s 2024 Annual Impact Report

Dear friends, supporters, and donors of Lafiya Nigeria,

We are so excited to share with you our 2024 annual impact report. We would like to recap the year with a zoom-in of our impact. We focus on 6 key metrics that highlights Lafiya’s work, which reached more than 100,000 women in the past year.

2024 marked yet another milestone year for Lafiya's growth. Our footprint reached 4 states and more than 200 facilities, where we serve clients both through formal (at health facilities) and informal channels (in rural communities). With a growing team and new and old supporters, we went on to reach areas previously unreached and serve women previously underserved — as you see, 43% of our users have never used contraception before.

More crucially, we are excited by how Lafiya begins to shape the country’s infrastructure at the primary healthcare and reproductive healthcare level. From a policy standpoint, we see our contributions being adopted into national guidelines and training curricula for the usage of Sayana; we see that our digital infrastructure for counselling at the last-mile raises attention at the federal level, with discussions of fuller integration nationwide; and finally, we are optimising the national supply chain for family planning commodities to ensure its functionality and effectiveness.
