Sigrid De Lepeleire

Sigrid holds a Master’s degree in Drug Development from the University of Antwerp with over six years of experience at the Red Cross, where she has managed and supported health programs across Sub-Saharan Africa. Her work has spanned diverse thematic areas, including disaster preparedness and response, with a primary focus on improving access to safe blood products, working closely with partner organisations, Ministries of Health and other stakeholders. 

Having lived in Rwanda for four years and worked in countries including Benin, DR Congo, Uganda, Burundi, Malawi, and Eswatini, Sigrid brings extensive experience in cross-cultural collaboration and multi-country program management. She has contributed to monitoring and evaluation efforts, the development of evidence-based guidelines, and the generation of evaluations and learning to enhance program effectiveness.

Previously, Sigrid worked in Belgium as a pharmacist and project manager, where she designed and analysed digital health interventions to measure and improve medication adherence in home hospitalisation programs.
